AGU to host inaugural Science Policy Conference May 1-2 in DC

The American Geophysical Union (AGU) will host its first ever Science Policy Conference at the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center in Washington, DC on May 1st and 2nd. The Conference will bring together scientists and policymakers to “discuss key Earth and space science topics that are relevant in today’s public policy environment.”


Key subjects discussed will be the science that influences policymakers on important decisions regarding “natural hazards, natural resources, oceans, and the Arctic.”   Browse the agenda for the impressive list of speakers that will be presenting at the Conference (even more speakers are yet to be announced).


AGU is parterning with the Arctic Research Consortium of the United States (ARCUS) and the American Meteorological Society to put on this Conference. It is sponsors by Ball Aerospace & Technologies Corp., Lockheed Martin, and Munich Re.
