New Profile of the Day: Girls in Tech

March 7, 2012

New Profile of the Day highlights some of our newest and greatest profiles on STEMconnector.org. To have your organization, competition, or other STEM-related group added to STEMconnector, simply fill out our contact form.

Girls in Tech (GIT) was created in 2007 by Adriana Gascoigne as an outlet for women throughout the tech community to gather and share ideas about business and technology. Since it’s inception, GIT has grown to include numerous online resources, including a blog, member spotlight, and job postings. Additionally they have developed a mentorship program, and has even begun to host workshops, fundraisers and mixers for their members. GIT has also started to organize university chapters in order to further encourage girls to pursue STEM degrees and careers. For more information on these initiatives, see GIT’s STEMconnector profile!
